The goal of this project was to conduct a usability study of the Lab reservation website in the University's intranet, used by all faculty and students.
design approach
We invited potential users of the system, and gave them scenario-based tasks to perform and observed them from a distance. We noted down things they said as well as quantitative data like the number of clicks to get to a page. We then performed a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data and determined pain points. We also conducted a heuritic evaluation using Nielson's 10 heuristics. Based on all the results from the studies, we suggested changes to the system.
